With this summer’s weather causing havoc, in more ways than one … two Superstock races cancelled, its been ages since we’ve raced. At Croft with only four rounds remaining, but with six races to run - there’s some 150 points still up for grabs! This together with lots of changes in the paddock, the Superstock Championship is definitely hotting up. There are some serious contenders wanting to make a play for the top spot that we’ve maintained throughout the season.
At Croft it appeared we’d have a fine racing weekend, so all was set for dry … however, the English weather had other ideas. Whilst on the grid on a dry set-up, a heavy shower designated the race wet! I made the decision to change to wet … which meant starting at the back of the grid! I got off to a good start and moved up through field to 12th by lap 8, however, the rain had stopped … the track dried out and from then on it was tough going. Thankfully my nearest challengers were also on wet tyres, so they did not finish as high as they might and I managed to grab a few points.
Now its onto Cadwell Park … click here for timetable.
Cheers, Glen
